Big Screen Movie Night: The NeverEnding Story

Join College Hill Macon and the MAGA Film Festival for a FREE showing of The NeverEnding Story tonight! The event kicks off with a Pre-Movie Bash in Mercer Village from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM and continues with the movie screening at dark (anout 8:00 PM). There will be a cash bar on site for the movie as well. Brign the kids, and the dog, and don’t forget your chairs, blankets and bug spray!

Dora’s Free Birthday Event @ Walmart

This Saturday – August 14th from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM – Dora the Explorer is having a birthday party at Walmart! There will be FREE cupcakes and 5″x7″ photo cards!

The event will be held in the toy department. All three Walmart locations in Macon, plus the two Walmarts in Warner Robins, and the one in Perry will be particapating. For the free photo card, bring your favorite photo (digital or physical) to create your FREE 5″x7″ photo at Walmart Photo.

Wesleyan Market: Saturday, August 14th from 9AM to 1PM

Don’t’ forget that this Saturday – August 14, 2010 – is the monthly Wesleyan Market from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wesleyan’s front campus (Forsyth Road, Macon).

On the second Saturday of every month (during spring, summer, and fall) Wesleyan hosts their marketplace, featuring a variety of locally grown and produced items ranging from flowers, baked goods, and organic fruits and vegetables to fresh shrimp, hand-made soaps, and work by local artists. Music, fun & educational events also are offered. It’s free and open to the public.

Free Kids’ Workshop at Home Depot: School Bus Pencil Organizer

On the first Saturday of the month, The Home Depot hosts a free kids’ workshop. This month’s workshop has a back-to-school theme. On Saturday, August 7, kids can make a School Bus Pencil Organizer

The free kids’ workshops take place from 9:00 a.m.-noon, and the kids leave with their project, an orange apron & an achievement pin.

Bragg Jam hosting its family-friendly Arts @ the Park event on Saturday, July 31, 2010. This year has a new location in the heart of downtown Macon – Third Street Park! The event is FREE and takes place from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM among the shade of the cherry trees with plenty of free and easy access to parking.
