She’s-Got-The-Look, a local group of ladies in Macon, will host their first Fall & Winter Women’s Clothing and Accessories Consignment Sale this Friday (Sept. 10) and Saturday (Sept. 11) in the Riverstreet Corners Shopping Center located in 2720 Riverside Drive in Macon.

The sale will run Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Many items will be half-price on Saturday. Items for sale will include name brand women’s clothing, shoes, bags and jewelry.

This Friday, September 10th, bring your lunch and enjoy a FREE CONCERT – “Brown Bag Boogie” - on the front patio of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. A host of local musicians will perform music significant to Macon’s right music history. The concert will last from Noon to 1:00 PM. The concert is free, plus the museum will offer ½ price admission for adults for the remainder of the day.

After a bad burger experience at Wild Wing Cafe last year I had avoided the place for a while. Recently, I found myself there with a group, hanging out on a Friday night. We had a great time and I was reminded of their great food, reasonable prices, and beer specials. One of the best things Wild Wing has to offer is live music with no cover – they never charge a cover!

In honor of First Friday – this Friday, September 3, 2010 – the Cox Capitol Theatre is hosting another one of their famous Dollar Nights. They’ll be showing Ghostbusters (the 1984 classic version) starting at 7 p.m. Admission is only $1. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and they’ll be serving $1 slices of pizza and $1 domestic draft ALL NIGHT LONG!

Join College Hill Macon and the MAGA Film Festival for a FREE showing of The NeverEnding Story tonight! The event kicks off with a Pre-Movie Bash in Mercer Village from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM and continues with the movie screening at dark (anout 8:00 PM). Don’t’ forget that this Saturday – August 14, 2010 – is the monthly Wesleyan Market from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Wesleyan’s front campus (Forsyth Road, Macon).

On the second Saturday of every month (during spring, summer, and fall) Wesleyan hosts their marketplace, featuring a variety of locally grown and produced items ranging from flowers, baked goods, and organic fruits and vegetables to fresh shrimp, hand-made soaps, and work by local artists. Music, fun & educational events also are offered. It’s free and open to the public.
